At Groundwork Events we understand the end result—making people smile, changing minds, opening eyes—is goal number one. We also understand that ensuring an event goes off without a hitch is dependent on personal client relationships, effective and consistent communication, vital partnerships with vendors and clients and, of course, the ability to be creative, flexible, and cool under pressure.
From small, intimate affairs to events with guest lists exceeding 60,000, we’ve done it all and we’re not afraid to get our hands dirty. We work with our clients to plan and to execute seamlessly, whether that means driving the forklifts, tending the bars, or picking up the celebrity entertainment, we shy away at nothing if it means a timeless and memorable event.
Running large-scale, complicated events requires organization, sure, but in the end it demands a no-nonsense, get-shit-done attitude (read: moxie) and Erica has moxie in spades. From the Sundance Film Festival to UCI Cycling Tours to Microsoft and Acura events, Erica juggles booking travel, managing design and implementation, overseeing red carpets and galas (and the celebrities), press events, and managing build-outs, all while ensuring clients and sponsors are worry free and guests are having the time of their lives. Her attention to detail is microscopic, her approach is holistic and tireless, and, if it gets the job done, she’ll drive the damn forklift in her well-worn Carharts.
When she takes a breath between world-class events, she’s exploring her love for interior design by painting walls and choosing furniture (gratis!) for friends and family alike, hiking with her cuter-than-a-litter-of-kittens Westies, and exploring the Wasatch Front on two wheels or on foot.
